Tennessee Soap and Candle Meeting

Tennessee Soap and Candle Meeting

I wrote the following blog post awhile ago, and never published it. I wanted to still share this with you because it was an awesome trip and I really did enjoy my time at the Tennessee Soap and Candle Meeting. But guess what... Next year there will not be a Tennessee Soap an Candle Meeting! But no need to be upset because they have rebranded and are now called the Southeastern Bath and Body Conference and will be held April 4 and 5, 2020, in Alpharetta, GA! Read on about my recent adventure!

Crescent Mountain Soap was on the road again... but this time as the student as I attended the Tennessee Soap and Candle Meeting.

This was my second time attending the Tennessee meeting and this time I volunteered to help with the goodie bags. It was exciting each time I came home and saw that UPS or FedEx had left a package of donations from amazing soap and candle suppliers. It was almost like Christmas, only all the presents were not for me!

When I arrived in Tennessee, it was time to get the goodie bags all organized. We stuffed 110 bags full of fragrance oils, wooden soap dishes, spatulas, books, discount codes, and more! Each participant was to get a bag full of goodness!

We got to hear an learn from many experts. Lela Barker of Lucky Break Consulting, Donna Maria from Indie Business Network, Ann-Marie Faiola, the Soap Queen from Brambleberry, Holly Port of Lotion Bar Cafe, and Stephanie Franchini of One Love Candle were just some of the amazing speakers!

After the meeting, I headed to downtown Nashville. How do you go to Nashville and not go to the heart of country music? I jumped on a trolly and took a 2-hour tour of the city. It was an awesome way to learn about the history of Nashville and see some of the sights. We made a stop at the Commodore Grille and listened to some songwriters sing some of the songs they had written. We walked up the pedestrian bridge to view Nashville at night.

On my way home I decided to take a different route and drove home through the mountains of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Cherokee. I love living in such a beautiful area that within a couple of hours I can be in such beautiful places.

I can't wait for next year's Southeastern Bath and Body Conference! Won't you join me? Get more information about next year's conference here!
